Ammonium polyphosphate is the phosphate that moves as a liquid. The standard grade, 10-34-0, is a solution of ammonium phosphate polymers that carries 10% nitrogen and 34% P2O5 in a form that can be pumped, blended and injected.
Its commercial role is in liquid fertilizer systems: bulk liquid NPK blends, starter fertilizers applied at planting, and fertigation where a liquid phosphate is easier to handle than a bagged solid. It also sequesters metal ions, which is why it appears in some micronutrient formulations.
This page exists because buyers ask about it. We do not currently offer ammonium polyphosphate, and the page is written to explain the product rather than to sell it. Where a liquid phosphate is required, the practical alternatives are water-soluble MAP or urea phosphate in solid form.

Why this product, and not the one next to it
Pumpable
A liquid phosphate removes bag handling and dust from the blending plant and can be metered into a blend by volume.
Fully soluble by definition
There is no insoluble residue to settle out, which is the property that makes it suitable for injection systems.
Sequesters micronutrients
The polyphosphate chain holds metal ions in solution, which is why it is used in liquid micronutrient products.

Export considerations
Ammonium polyphosphate is a liquid and is shipped in ISO tanks, IBCs or drums rather than in bags. That changes the freight calculation completely compared with a solid phosphate.
Crystallisation temperature governs where the product can be stored: a grade formulated for a cold climate is not the same as one formulated for a warm one, and the figure has to be agreed in the contract.

No, not at present. The page is here because buyers ask about it and because it is the liquid counterpart of the solid phosphates we do handle. For a liquid requirement, talk to us about water-soluble MAP or urea phosphate, which deliver phosphate in a solid that is dissolved on site.
Why is APP always quoted as a liquid?
The commercial grade is manufactured and sold as a solution. A solid ammonium polyphosphate exists, but the product traded in fertilizer markets at 10-34-0 is a liquid.
