China Phosphates is the phosphate desk of a Chinese fertilizer trading and export team working out of Qingdao. We buy from producers, match the analysis to the buyer's specification, handle the documentation and arrange the ocean leg.
What we are
We are a trading and export business, not a producer. That distinction shapes everything on this site. We do not own a phosphate mine, we do not operate a granulation plant, and we do not claim a production capacity of our own. What we do is source across Chinese producers, verify that the material matches the specification that was agreed, and get it documented and shipped.
The entities behind the site are SINO STARCO CHEMICAL CO., LIMITED, which handles international trading and export, and QINGDAO UNITED CHEMICAL CO., LTD, which handles China sourcing and export operations. Both are based at the Qingdao address in the footer. Contracts are issued by the entity named in the quotation, and the quotation states which one it is.
What that means for a phosphate buyer
A trader is only useful if it adds something a producer's export desk does not. In phosphate there are three things.
The first is grade matching. Chinese producers quote the grades their lines run — 11-52-0, but also 10-50-0 and 11-44-0 for MAP; granulated or powdered TSP; SSP at the analysis the local standard uses rather than the one your market tests against. A buyer who needs a specific analysis, a specific granule size or a specific water-soluble fraction needs someone who will check it against the plant's COA rather than forward a price list.
The second is the specification argument. Most phosphate disputes are not about quality in the abstract; they are about which basis a number was quoted on. Total or available P2O5, citrate-soluble or water-soluble, and by which method. We put the basis and the method on the quotation, because it is much cheaper to settle that before the contract than after the cargo has sailed.
The third is documentation. COA, TDS, MSDS, packing list, invoice, certificate of origin, and the phytosanitary or destination-specific declarations where they apply. What a shipment will carry is confirmed at quotation stage, not discovered at the port.
What we trade
The team's fertilizer business covers urea, ammonium sulfate, calcium ammonium nitrate, potassium nitrate and compound fertilizers alongside phosphates. That matters to a phosphate buyer in one specific way: we are used to arguing about analyses, test methods and loading quantities, because those arguments are identical in every fertilizer market. A blend plant that buys MAP from us often buys its nitrogen and potash from the same desk.
On this site, products are marked either available on enquiry or industry information. The first can be quoted, with supply confirmed per order against the production schedule — that is not a stock claim. The second is described because buyers ask about it; we do not offer it and the page carries no quotation entry point.

What we will not claim

- That export or import requirements are fixed — they are checked per order.
- That a price published here is current. There is no price published here at all.
